75 is a good balance for photos. Lower means smaller files. Applies to JPG, WebP, and AVIF.

Frequently asked questions

What is a HEIC file?
It's the photo format iPhones use by default. It's efficient, but many websites, Windows apps, and forms don't accept it. JPG works everywhere.
How do I open HEIC files on Windows?
Convert them here: drop the HEIC photos in and download them as JPG. No software or Microsoft Store extension needed.
Does converting HEIC to JPG lower the quality?
Not visibly at the default quality. The JPG can be larger or smaller than the HEIC depending on the photo; lower the quality or resize if you need it smaller.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Every image is processed by your own browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
