Frequently asked questions

How do I compress an image to 100 KB?
Drop your photo in. The target is already set to 100 KB. Download it when it's ready; the list shows the final size. You can drop many photos at once.
Why does my photo need to be under 100 KB?
Many application and registration sites cap uploads at 100 KB to keep their servers small. A phone photo is usually 2–5 MB, so it needs both lower quality and fewer pixels to fit.
What if it can't get under 100 KB?
It keeps shrinking the image until it fits. In the rare case it can't, the list says so and you get the smallest version it could make.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Every image is processed by your own browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
